Founded by Parisian entrepreneur Julien Comte, ICIAR is more than just a café and deli—it's a culinary haven that brings the finest French cheeses and delicacies to Dublin. Inspired by his love for Ireland, Comte bid adieu to Paris in 2020 and embarked on a mission to tantalize Irish taste buds with the essence of French gastronomy. With a full delicatessen, catering, and take-out offerings, ICIAR is renowned for its meticulously curated cheese and charcuterie boxes, mouthwatering Croque Monsieur, gourmet coffee, freshly baked French bread, pastries, sandwiches, and a selection of French wines—all served with flair in its Parisian-inspired café located in the Frascati Centre in Blackrock. ICIAR delights can also be found at Whelehans Wines in Loughlinstown (takeaway only).

Iciar French Cheese Bar has a full delicatessen with more than 50 cheeses sourced directly from the most prestigious suppliers in France. You can also step into our Parisian-inspired cafe and enjoy exquisitely curated cheese and charcuterie platters, the best Croque-Monsieur in the land, gourmet coffee, freshly baked French bread, croissants, patisserie and sandwiches. All of these are available to take away too. And of course, we have a selection of delectable wines and daily specials to round off the menu too. So pop by for some “joie de vivre” in Frascati Centre in Blackrock.

Iciar French Cheese Bar at Whelehans Wine is a take-out offering, with our signature cheese boxes, gourmet coffee, freshly baked French bread, croissants, patisserie and sandwiches on the menu daily. You can also order and collect platters from our catering menu from Whelehans. Plus you can stock up on wines from all over the world at Whelehans making it the perfect pit stop for wine and cheese lovers.

Cheese Boxes
Our signature artisanal cheese boxes are beautifully layered with complimentary cheeses to highlight a particular French region. Prepared with fresh ingredients on the day of delivery (so cheese selections may vary) they can be made with or without charcuterie, and are dressed with seasonal fruits, nuts and garnishes.
Our wooden biodegradable boxes are made from stapled spruce wood and poplar plywood.

Platters /Catering
Perfect for wine and cheese nights with friends, family parties, work events and everything in between. Our artisan platters feature a selection of the finest cheeses, charcuterie (optional), nuts, fruits, chutney pots and topped with seasonal garnishes.

Raclette
Dive into the decadent taste of the Savoie region with one of our famous Raclette boxes. Our boxes include Morbier & Raclette cheese pre-sliced and ready to melt. We can also provide a selection of charcuterie, pickles, and bread to round off the perfect raclette party. We sell and rent raclette grill devices if you need one. Please ask in advance.

Grazing Tables
For easy, gourmet food that brings people together, you can’t beat a grazing table. We can supply you with just some, or all, of the elements required to build out your heavenly spread. From cuts of the finest cheese and charcuterie, dips, crudites, bread and crackers and advice on how to display it all, we have all you need to create a gourmet grazing table for intimate gatherings, large celebrations or a brand ‘moment’, trust us, there’s nothing that creates the wow factor more.
